Position Overview
The market for High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) systems, particularly in large-scale offshore wind projects, is rapidly expanding as a key player in the energy transition. In these initiatives, we encounter a broader range of automation systems compared to onshore HVDC projects. To address these demands, we are establishing a specialized engineering division dedicated to Automation, encompassing comprehensive SCADA and HMI systems, IT/OT infrastructure, Cyber Security, and telecommunications systems. We seek professionals with expertise in industrial or electrical automation systems, including managers, specialists, and engineers, to collaborate on tenders and projects alongside our external subcontractor partners.
As a Senior Engineer, you will hold primary technical responsibility for network and Cyber Security within our SCADA, network, and IS/IT solutions as defined in project tenders and execution phases.
Our operational model emphasizes collaboration with external partners, meaning your role will largely involve coordinating, guiding, specifying, and reviewing the work of our partners to ensure alignment with the overall solution.
Key Responsibilities
- Assume technical responsibility for network and Cyber Security solutions pertaining to our SCADA and IS/IT deliveries.
- Foster collaboration within tender and project teams, engaging effectively with customers and partners.
- Design technical solutions grounded in industry best practices, aiming for high-quality foundational solutions and maximizing reuse across projects.
- Identify technical risks and develop corresponding mitigation strategies to ensure project objectives are met.
- Ensure that specifications and guidelines are crafted and utilized by our partners, facilitating well-defined projects and clear change management.
- Demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning and improvement, integrating insights from previous experiences into your work.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in network and Cyber Security for SCADA and IS/IT systems.
- Proven expertise in Cyber Security and the design of secure networks.
- Experience in both engineering and commissioning roles in prior positions.
- Familiarity with Hitachi's product offerings is advantageous, as is experience with competitor products.
- Strong communication skills are essential, given the collaborative nature of the role.
- A Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Proficiency in English is required, as you will be part of an international team; knowledge of Swedish is a plus but not mandatory.
