About the Role

Activision Publishing, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Physics Engineer to join our development team. As a key member of our Engineering department, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving our physics framework, pipeline, and feature-set.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive our collision data pipeline to build high-fidelity scalable environments and assets.
  • Architect and support simulation and query behaviors to maintain our position at the cutting edge of FPS physics-related gameplay and visuals.
  • Deploy, evaluate performance, optimize, and test software on PC and console platforms.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience working as an engineer in the game industry or a similar industry.
  • Significant experience with physics pipeline requirements and runtime behaviors.
  • Proven ability to collaborate, coordinate, communicate, and support other team members.
  • Demonstrated ability to write efficient, performant, clean, readable, portable, and reliable code.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Direct experience with Havok or similar middleware.
  • Enjoyment of playing a variety of video game genres and titles.
