About the Role:

Activision Publishing, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Senior Gameplay Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of a new IP.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, write, debug, and refine gameplay systems, features, tools, and infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with designers and other engineers to prototype, develop, and refine features.
  • Architect, design, implement, debug, optimize, and test complex software systems in C++ and other languages.
  • Discover or invent leading-edge game industry technologies, practices, tools, and systems.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in the game industry or other relevant experience.
  • Strong object-oriented design and knowledge of C/C++.
  • Experience with multiplatform development (Xbox, PlayStation, PC).
  • Proficiency in two or more game development technologies such as performance and optimization, graphics, 3D math, physics, collision detection, vehicles, 3C, or AI.
  • The ability to collaborate and thrive as part of a creative team.
  • Creativity in problem-solving and a positive, respectful team-first attitude.
  • Organization methods and the capability to meet deadlines.
  • Comfort with self-critique and accepting outside feedback.
  • A habit of regularly playing and understanding modern video games.
