Nordic Fraud Investigator

AIG is seeking a highly skilled Fraud Investigator to join our Nordic team. As a Fraud Investigator, you will be responsible for investigating suspicious insurance claims and pursuing appropriate remedies through civil or criminal channels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Investigate suspicious insurance claims and gather facts by interviewing witnesses, employers, claimants, and other relevant parties.
- Obtain and preserve evidence to support the investigation.
- Prepare reports based on evidence findings that provide claims handlers with the necessary information to process the case.
- Handle cases in the NORDIC Cluster (Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland) and ensure that all tasks are properly completed.
- Provide witness statements and present evidence in civil and criminal court proceedings as required.
- Build and maintain relationships with experts, lawyers, police, prosecutors, and other relevant authorities.
- Identify needs, create, and deliver anti-fraud training to various business units as requested by your line manager.
- Accurately identify and record all financial impact of processed cases in the case management system.
- Support the NORDIC Fraud & Recovery Manager to ensure key deliverables and business objectives are met.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in OSINT research, analytics, and investigations.
- Solid understanding of the criminal and civil justice systems.
- Excellent communication skills in both English (oral/written) and one or more Nordic languages.
- University degree in a relevant area.
- In-depth experience in working with police and law enforcement agencies combined with excellent cultural understanding.
- Proven participation in qualified fraud specialist seminars.
- Strong analytical decision-making, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Proven experience in the independent management, prioritization, and time management of project tasks, workflows, and volumes.
- Advanced knowledge of criminal and civil law.
- Strong ability to gather information, analyze data, and prepare and present investigative reports.
- Ability to work under time pressure in a quality-oriented and efficient manner.
- Relevant PC skills.
