Director of Sustainability and Innovation

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Director of Sustainability and Innovation to join our team at Level Recruitment. As a key member of our organization, you will play a pivotal role in driving our commitment to environmental sustainability and ESG initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and Implement Sustainability Strategy: Create and execute a comprehensive sustainability strategy aligned with our company goals and EU regulations, ensuring alignment with ISO14001 environmental management standards and Science Based Targets (SBTi).
- Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work with various teams to integrate sustainability considerations into all aspects of data center planning, design, and operations.
- Reduce Energy Consumption and Waste: Lead efforts to minimize energy consumption, water usage, and waste generation across our data center portfolio in collaboration with the Development team.
- Evaluate Renewable Energy Solutions: Assess and implement renewable energy solutions, energy-efficient technologies, and innovative cooling systems to minimize carbon footprint.
- Sustainable Procurement Practices: Evaluate and implement sustainable procurement practices for equipment and materials used in data center construction and maintenance.
- Circular Economy Principles: Implement circular economy principles for all aspects of our business.
- Monitoring and Reporting: Establish robust monitoring and reporting mechanisms to track the performance of our sustainability initiatives and innovation projects.
- Senior Leadership Reporting: Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior leadership, highlighting progress, challenges, and opportunities related to sustainability and innovation in data center operations.
This role requires a seasoned professional with a proven track record, strong communication skills, and a passion for instilling a culture of continuous improvement and excellence for sustainability.
Requirements:- At least 5 years of experience in Sustainability Management, preferably in the context of data centers.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Business, or similar.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to implement and drive sustainability and environmental practices throughout the organization.
- Strong analytical and project management skills.
- Experience ensuring compliance with sustainability and environmental standards and regulations, including CSRD, EU Taxonomy, EU Energy Efficiency Directive.
- Experience working with science-based targets.
- Proficiency in generating comprehensive reports for management.
- Good understanding of ISO 14001 and 9001.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams.
