Regional Transformation Leader

About the Role
Hitachi Energy UK Limited is seeking a highly skilled Regional Transformation Leader to join our team in the Grid Automation Business Unit. As a key member of our international team, you will be responsible for driving sustainable and transformational change across various business areas, making a direct impact on operational efficiency and delivering associated cost savings.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic plans to drive operational excellence and continuous improvement across the region.
- Lead and coach teams to adopt Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma strategies, ensuring a culture of continuous improvement.
- Conduct cycles of learning and kaizen events to identify and implement process improvements.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and develop solutions to drive operational efficiency.
- Provide training and support to internal stakeholders to ensure their understanding and appreciation of the benefits of continuous improvement.
- Develop and implement metrics to measure the success of operational excellence initiatives.
- Communicate progress and results to senior leadership and stakeholders.
Requirements
- Experience in manufacturing, engineering, materials management, quality, and process improvements.
- Track record of delivering breakthrough results impacting the bottom line.
- Ability to develop strategy and translate it into actionable plans, driving sustainable change through influence.
- Experience as a Change Agent, challenging conventional thinking, approach, and methodology while driving improvements.
- Experience leading teams through influence without authority.
- Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, World Class Manufacturing, or Six Sigma strategies and principles.
- Experience conducting cycles of learning and kaizen events, with a clear understanding of success factors, market requirements, threats, and opportunities of supported businesses and markets.
- Able to efficiently multitask initiatives such as training, leading kaizen events, follow-up activities, and reports.
- Effective communicator at all levels of the organization, including senior leaders.
- Project Management skills - meets deadlines, follows up and escalates late actions, and closes gaps before issues escalate.
- Provide weekly progress updates to leadership groups.
- Able to develop training plans and ensure 100% sustainment of all items.
- Solution-focused with exceptional problem-solving skills.
