About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned procurement leader to join our DB Schenker Nordic team as the Head of Procurement. As a key member of our cluster leadership team, you will be responsible for driving strategic and tactical sourcing initiatives, leading a team of 4 professionals, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality services to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the procurement team by setting goals, monitoring performance, and driving operational and process development.
  • Develop and implement strategic sourcing initiatives to standardize sourced goods and services, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with key suppliers, negotiate contracts, and monitor performance.
  • Ensure an appropriate demand planning structure is in place to meet customer needs.
  • Manage risk within the supply chain and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will have a minimum of 3 years of leadership experience in a similar position, including strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management. You will also have a strong understanding of procurement processes, best practices, and market trends, as well as excellent negotiation, contract management, and supplier relationship management skills.
