About the Role

We're looking for a talented Technical R&D Director to join our EMEA region. As a crucial player in our global R&D work for Ground Support, you'll support commercial teams by acting as our technical advisor when approaching new or existing customers. This involves promoting value selling and profitable sales growth. You'll take ownership in developing material and forums to ensure that we have sufficient understanding of the current and future product offerings – commercial and technical.

You'll provide day-to-day support on different technical topics and work together with relevant stakeholders across the regional organization to develop new concepts, elaborate, coordinate, and manage the EMEA engineering and R&D roadmap. In this role, you will be expected to travel circa twice a month. The location for this position is flexible.

Key Responsibilities

- Act as our technical advisor when approaching new or existing customers
- Promote value selling and profitable sales growth
- Develop material and forums to understand current and future product offerings
- Provide day-to-day support on different technical topics

About You

We're looking for someone with a master's degree in engineering or a related field. You have a very good understanding of underground mining and tunneling technologies through previous experience in the industry. We believe that you have exposure to different types of rock mechanics and ground support products and hold an existing professional network in the mining and tunneling industry. Your previous assignment has given you a deep understanding of basic supplier-customer relationships as well as sales and marketing and business administration. Proven experience working in matrix structures is a must. Acting in a global environment calls for excellent skills in English, verbally and in writing.
