Senior Cost Management Professional

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cost Manager to join our team at Linesight. As a Senior Cost Manager, you will play a key role in managing the financial aspects of our projects, ensuring that we deliver high-quality services to our clients while maintaining a strong focus on cost control and management.
Key Responsibilities- Tender/Bid Process Management: Participate in the tender/bid process, from initial documentation to analysis and reporting, to ensure that we provide the best value to our clients.
- Change Management: Manage the change management process, identifying, analyzing, approving, and implementing changes that affect project costs.
- Tender/Bid Analysis: Analyze tenders/bids to ensure that our clients receive the best value for money.
- Final Account Preparation: Assist in the preparation and agreement of final accounts, including handling any claims to ensure that our clients receive the best value from the works undertaken.
- Estimate and Cost Planning: Create estimates and cost plans for key client developments.
- Project Spend Management: Oversee project spend by creating valuations and cost reports, and clearly communicate variations to the team.
- Cost Documentation and Communication: Support nimble project management and clear decision-making through excellent cost documentation and timely communication.
- Dispute Resolution: Support the settlement of construction disputes/loss and expense claims with transparency.
- Team Leadership: Foster top performance and growth for employees through excellent mentorship and leadership.
- Experience: Have experience as a senior cost manager, ideally from a consultancy background.
- Pre-Contract Cost Management: Have experience in pre-contract cost management, with a strong understanding of budget control, cost planning, and change management.
- Chartered Status: Be chartered or on the path to complete it. We can support your professional development.
- Education: Have a degree or comparable experience in a project management or construction discipline.
- Communication Skills: Be an excellent communicator, both verbally and in writing.
