About the Role

Microsoft is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead the cost management of our datacenter engineering procurement construction (EPC) campus in Helsinki, Finland. As a Cost Management Campus Lead, you will be responsible for providing commercial management services for the EPC campus, ensuring that all costs are accurately estimated, managed, and reported.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the commercial aspects of the EPC campus, including estimating, procurement, and contract management.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including the EPC team, procurement office, and vendors.
  • Ensure that all costs are accurately estimated, managed, and reported, and that all financial transactions are properly authorized and recorded.
  • Provide commercial support to the design team, including business case development, value engineering studies, and change control.
  • Work with the site selection team to provide constructability reports and site-specific comparative estimates on candidate sites.
  • Develop and implement commercial processes and procedures to ensure consistency and efficiency in commercial management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Project Controls, Quantity Surveying, or related field experience.
  • Experience managing the estimating or commercial aspects of a major construction portfolio.
  • Proven experience in commercial management, including procurement, contract management, and cost control.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) full membership or equivalent.
  • Commercial knowledge of construction internationally.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple stakeholders and priorities.
