Job Title: Senior Mechanical Quantity Surveyor

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Quantity Surveyor to join our team at Jones Engineering in Sweden. As a Senior Mechanical Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for the full management, pricing, and collation of Mechanical projects and budgets, of various sizes, generally on mainland.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Project Management: You will be responsible for the full management of Mechanical projects, including pricing, collation, and budgeting.
  2. Contract Compliance: Ensure compliance with contract obligations and provide advice and monitoring of same to the construction team.
  3. Commercial Risk Management: Identify potential commercial risks and ensure prompt reporting of same to management.
  4. Procurement: Operational procurement activity and contract support, in conjunction with the Procurement Department.
  5. Subcontractor Management: Manage subcontractor accounts from initial award to interim valuation, variations, and final account.
  6. Turnover and Cash Flow Management: Managing and forecasting of turnover and cash flow of the projects.
  7. Commercial Management: Reviewing and commercial management of all projects, to ensure accurate and reliable reporting.
  8. Trend Analysis: Identify, Analyze and report on trends within the Business & Projects.
  9. Contract Administration: Review all incoming correspondence from Employers, Design Team and/or subcontractors, to identify contractually critical items and to initiate replies.
  10. Team Collaboration: Ability to work both individually and as part of a multi-functional team.
  11. IT Skills: Excellent IT Skills essential.
  12. Supply Chain Development: You will help build/establish our supply chain with European based vendors/sub-contractors and carry out both commercial and technical analysis of their quotations.
  13. Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and the ability to work well under strict deadlines essential.

Requirements:

  1. Qualification: Relevant third-level qualification essential in Quantity Surveying/Construction Economics.
  2. Experience: Previous Data Centre experience preferable but not essential. Minimum 6+ years' experience post qualification essential.
  3. MEP Experience: Experience in an MEP role required.
  4. Teamwork and Communication: Ability to work both individually and as part of a multi-functional team. Excellent IT Skills.
  5. Presentation and Communication: Demonstrates excellent presentation, verbal, written, and communication skills.
