Postdoctoral Researcher in Single Cell and Spatial Transcriptomics
We are seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher to join our team at the Karolinska Institutet. The successful candidate will have a strong background in bioinformatics, statistics, and computational biology, with expertise in statistical and bioinformatics software. The individual will work closely with our research group to investigate the molecular and cellular mechanisms underlying the establishment of intestinal homeostasis and how breakdown of these mechanisms might lead to inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD).
The position involves bioinformatics analysis with a focus on RNA-seq, single cell RNA-seq, and spatial transcriptomics analysis. The candidate will also be responsible for data QC, data management, and archival storage, as well as supporting ongoing research in the group. The successful candidate will have a strong publication record in well-regarded journals and excellent programming skills in R, Matlab, Python, Perl, or other mathematical software/programming languages.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct bioinformatics analysis of RNA-seq, single cell RNA-seq, and spatial transcriptomics data
- Develop and maintain computational tools and pipelines for data analysis
- Collaborate with researchers to design and implement experiments
- Present research findings to the research group and at scientific meetings
Requirements:
- Ph.D. or M.D./Ph.D. in immunology or computational biology
- Strong background in bioinformatics, statistics, and computational biology
- Excellent programming skills in R, Matlab, Python, Perl, or other mathematical software/programming languages
- Strong publication record in well-regarded journals
What We Offer:
- A dynamic and collaborative research environment
- Opportunities for professional growth and development
- A competitive salary and benefits package
How to Apply:
To apply, please submit your application through the Varbi recruitment system. The application should include a complete curriculum vitae, a complete list of publications, a summary of current work, and two reference letters. The application deadline is January 29, 2024.
