Postdoctoral Researcher in Developing Progenitor Cell Niches
1 month ago
We are seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher to join our team at Karolinska Institutet to investigate the dynamics of progenitor populations during esophageal development. The successful candidate will have a strong background in stem cell biology and experience working with mouse models and programming languages to analyze sequencing data.
About the ProjectThe project aims to characterize the establishment of esophageal progenitor cell niches during development using genetically modified mouse models coupled to in vivo single-cell RNA-Sequencing. The successful candidate will work closely with our research group to design and execute experiments, analyze data, and interpret results.
About the Research GroupThe Genander lab is interested in understanding development and maintenance of epithelial tissues and how alterations in stem and progenitor cells during homeostasis lead to tumor formation. Our research group is a dynamic and collaborative environment that values innovation and creativity.
Requirements- PhD in stem cell biology or a related field
- Experience working with mouse models and programming languages to analyze sequencing data
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (in English written and verbal)
- Personal suitability, fitting well into the current research group
A creative and inspiring environment with wide-ranging expertise and interests. Karolinska Institutet is one of the world's leading medical universities, and we offer a competitive salary and benefits package.
How to ApplyAn application must contain the following documents in English or Swedish:
- A complete curriculum vitae, including date of the thesis defence, title of the thesis, previous academic positions, academic title, current position, academic distinctions, and committee work
- A complete list of publications
- A summary of most current work (no more than one page)
The application is to be submitted on the Varbi recruitment system.
