Postdoctoral Researcher in Chronic Pain Mechanisms

We are seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher to join our team at the Karolinska Institutet to investigate the mechanisms underlying chronic pain states. The successful candidate will have a strong background in neuroscience, immunology, or a related field and will be responsible for conducting research on the cellular and molecular mechanisms of pain.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct research on the mechanisms of chronic pain using patient and healthy control liquid and tissue biopsies as well as human primary cell cultures.
- Work closely with preclinical and clinical researchers, computational biologists, and biostatisticians to gain new insights into fibromyalgia pain pathology.
- Develop and implement new research methods and techniques to investigate pain mechanisms.
- Present research findings at international conferences and publish papers in top-tier scientific journals.
- PhD in immunology, neuroscience, biomedical science, or a related field.
- Strong background in neuroscience, immunology, or neuroinflammation.
- Documented practical experience working with human material and/or primary cell cultures.
- Knowledge of immunocytochemistry, microscopy, image, mRNA, and microplate or flowcytometry-based analysis.
