Software Development Team Lead for Traction Control Systems

We are seeking an experienced Software Development Team Lead to join our team in Västerås. As a key member of our Traction Control Systems team, you will be responsible for leading the development of advanced software solutions for our trains.

About the Role

This is a full-time position that requires a strong background in software development and leadership. You will work closely with our engineering teams to design, develop, and deliver high-quality software products that meet our customers' needs.

As a Software Development Team Lead, you will:

  • Lead a team of software engineers to develop traction control software for passenger service order projects.
  • Coordinate with other functions within traction and train level teams to ensure timely delivery and quality standards.
  • Manage interfaces within and between traction and train level teams to synchronize project timelines.
  • Ensure commitment on milestones and manage critical paths to guarantee successful project outcomes.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary range of $90,000-$120,000 per year, depending on experience.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you should have:

  • MSc in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Physics, Robotics, or equivalent.
  • Experience from software development and/or MBD.
  • Leading software development teams and agile methods.
  • Ability and interest in leading, developing, and challenging the organization to continuously improve.
  • Knowledge of software safety and working with assessment bodies.
