Tunnelling Sales Specialist

Sandvik, a global leader in the tunnelling industry, is seeking an experienced Tunnelling Sales Specialist to join our team in Norway.

  • This is a temporary contract opportunity with the possibility of extension.
  • You will have the option to work from home full-time.
  • The ideal candidate must be a Norwegian citizen or hold permanent resident status.
Your Responsibilities

We are looking for a sales professional who can analyze the local tunnelling and geotechnical market, generate sustainable and profitable sales volume in the region, and acquire new customers while providing ongoing support.

  • Conduct in-depth analysis of the local tunnelling and geotechnical market.
  • Generate sustainable and profitable sales volume in the region.
  • Aquire new customers and provide ongoing customer support.
  • Collaborate with the regional sales team to prepare sales quotations.
  • Support the development of market-specific ground support product portfolios.
  • Ensure effective product placement and stakeholder management.
  • Maintain regular stakeholder visits with clients, contractors, designers, owners, and professional associations.
Our Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Over 10 years' experience in civil engineering, preferably with a contractor in underground construction – conventional Tunnelling.
  • A university degree in civil engineering or a related discipline, or extensive working experience in Tunnelling (minimum 20 years).
  • Membership in the Norwegian Tunnelling Society (NFF).
  • Knowledge of local market conditions by level of competitiveness as well as by level of credit exposure risk.
  • Sound discipline-specific knowledge required to provide technical advice to clients and other stakeholders: tunnelling and geotechnics (special foundations).
  • Strong understanding of customer service.
  • Profound negotiation and mediation skills.
  • Very good MS Office skills.
  • Very good command of both Norwegian and English languages; other language skills will be an asset.
