About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Development Engineer to join our R&D department in Birsta, Sundsvall. As a Development Engineer at Permobil, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and documenting user-friendly products of the highest quality for production and assembly.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Design and Development: Develop innovative technical solutions and conduct concept studies for existing and future products.
  2. User-Centered Design: Incorporate latent user needs into product solutions and prioritize user satisfaction.
  3. Documentation and Quality: Document development work according to our rigorous quality processes.
  4. Leadership and Mentorship: Depending on your seniority, lead and mentor other development engineers.
Requirements
  1. Education: University degree (Master's or Bachelor's) in mechanical engineering.
  2. Technical Skills: Proficiency in PDM, 3D CAD, and drawings (SolidWorks or similar).
  3. Experience: Experience of modular product design, requirements management, and risk analysis.
  4. Knowledge: Knowledge of materials, surface treatments, and manufacturing methods.
  5. Language Skills: Strong communication skills in both Swedish and English.
  6. Industry Experience: Experience in the medical device industry or automotive industry is a plus, as well as experience of product modularization including modularization software Palma, and agile working methods including software Jira.
