Our Clinical Business Unit is expanding, and we are seeking a Head of Safety to lead our safety management initiatives and drive business development.
About the Role:
As the Head of Safety, you will lead the development and implementation of safety management services within our Clinical Development Business Unit. This includes selecting and procuring a safety database, actively selling safety services to clients, and eventually building and managing a dedicated safety team. You will collaborate closely with colleagues across Sweden and Denmark and will play a key role in our business growth. You report to Nordic Head of Clinical Development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safety Leadership: Develop and lead the safety strategy, including selecting and purchasing a safety database.
- Business Development: Engage in active selling of safety management services, set-up and planning of transfer of safety database to PR, working closely with the clinical development team.
- Team Building: Recruit, build, and lead a high-performing safety team as the business grows.
- Client Engagement: Interact directly with clients to understand their needs, present safety solutions and processes, and ensure satisfaction.
- Compliance and Innovation: Ensure compliance with safety regulations and stay updated on industry trends to continuously improve our offerings.
Qualifications:
- Extensive experience in patient safety or pharmacovigilance, ideally within a consultancy or CRO.
- Strong business development skills and preferable proven track record in sales.
- Experience with safety databases, and beneficial to have vendor selection and procurement.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to travel across the Nordics.
