Job Title: Head of Projects (HoP)

CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is a leading global provider of integrated facilities and corporate real estate management. We are recruiting a Head of Projects to join the team located in Stockholm, Sweden.

The purpose of the role is to:

  1. Achieve safe and successful delivery of all project management and construction management services in Sweden.
  2. Have overall responsibility for generating a sales pipeline to achieve financial targets.
  3. Ensure projects are secured and delivered on time and within the financial requirements and margins as specified by the business.
  4. Ensure that all projects adhere and are managed to commercial agreements/contracts, comply with statutory regulations, are QHSE compliant, and meet technical industry standards.
  5. Build a high-performing principal project team delivering best-in-class services to Enterprise Clients.
  6. Ensure projects are delivered on all maintenance contracts.
  7. Complete projects on time and on budget and to the satisfaction of all parties.
  8. Maximise profit through cost reductions and better buying of subcontractor services.
  9. Identify and win projects through effective relationships.
  10. Deliver Life Cycle Maintenance, Critical engineering, and refresh/upgrade projects across Sweden.

Role Summary

  1. 60% of this role is dedicated to one large client based in Kista, Stockholm and will require 2 days a week based in their offices.
  2. 40% of this role will be split across several other Enterprise clients in the region.
  3. Increase the Principal business offering to our clients across the Scandinavia region.
  4. Focus on delivery and governance initially; as the pipeline develops, the role will shift to focus on building a high-performing team to deliver region-wide.
  5. The role will require travel across the region depending on client requirements; however, this only accounts for 40% of the role with the main focus into one client.
  6. Ensure the safe delivery of projects through the management of risk and competence.
  7. Recruit and retain talent for the present delivery and future growth of projects.
  8. Provide leadership in identifying and solutioning project opportunities.
  9. Deliver contractual commitments on secured projects.
  10. Ensure projects are delivered on all maintenance contracts in the region.
  11. Complete projects on time and on budget and to the satisfaction of all parties.
  12. Identify, reduce, and manage all risks (technical, statutory, health and safety, commercial, or otherwise) associated with each and every project.
  13. Maximise profit through cost reductions and better buying of subcontractor services.
  14. Identify and win projects through effective relationships.
  15. Deliver supportive business communication through advice, review, leadership, and direct contribution to management team meetings, briefings, consultation forums, correspondence, publicity, monthly and ad-hoc reporting, and other applications as appropriate.
  16. Promote and maintain the core values of CBRE.

Skills Required

  1. Proven track record of leading and growing projects business.
  2. Track record of successfully managing large complex projects (up to $10M) with extensive hands-on project management experience within the Construction/FM industry.
  3. Ability to inspire and lead a Projects business unit in the Corporate environment.
  4. Customer awareness and relationship management skills.
  5. Ability to identify the need for and successfully manage change.
  6. Ability to communicate across all levels of the business including effective written and oral communication.
  7. Demonstrate previous experience of business development and accountability for financial success.
  8. Demonstrate previous experience of contract negotiation.
  9. A minimum of 10 years' experience working for blue-chip companies in a customer-facing capacity.
  10. Bachelor's Degree; Chartered Building Surveyor; CIOB, Chartered Engineer (Construction, Mechanical, Electrical, and/or Civil).
  11. Good communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
  12. Understanding of best-in-class CAPEX planning.
