We are currently seeking a Head of Market Management for Sweden, located in Stockholm.

Your Team

Reporting to the Managing Director for the Nordics and working alongside a strong Nordic market management team of three seasoned professionals. Together with the Nordic market management and underwriting teams, you will steer our commercial interactions with a large pool of local clients and brokers in Sweden, ensuring sustainable and profitable growth by implementing our strategic sales approach focused on solutions and services. In this role, you will also support your colleagues throughout the Nordics. As a team, you are also part of the recently formed Benelux and Nordic Region and will collaborate closely with this team.

Some specific responsibilities may include:
  • Being the representative and go-to individual for Allianz Commercial in the Swedish market for large corporate and upper mid-corporate insurance solutions.
  • Pursuing the profitable growth of the Swedish portfolio by acquiring new business and effectively retaining and enhancing existing business
  • Acting as an internal coordinator within Allianz between various lines of business and support functions to ensure a comprehensive client approach.
  • Cultivating enduring relationships with key brokers and clients of Allianz Commercial, building trust and credibility with essential stakeholders at relevant levels.
  • Assisting brokers in understanding Allianz Commercial's underwriting appetite and core strengths and positioning Allianz Commercial as the preferred insurer in its sector.
  • Engaging with both internal and external stakeholders to identify and cultivate a suitable customer pipeline, devising effective strategies to acquire new clients.
  • Leading and coordinating efforts to secure new clients and renewals.
  • Ensuring the fulfillment of deliverables and facilitating a seamless handover to the operational key account team.
  • Pursuing a deep understanding of clients and industries, leveraging this insight to challenge clients and uncover unexpressed needs.
  • Proactively collaborating with the underwriting team to capitalize on upselling and cross-selling opportunities, expand "share of wallet" with key brokers and clients, and ensure structured pipeline and prospect management.


Qualifications for the role:
  • Demonstrated experience in market management within the Swedish and/or Nordic large corporate and upper mid-corporate insurance market.
  • Ability to drive strategic market management, define client segments, and articulate a clear value proposition.
  • Expertise in the Swedish and/or Nordic markets, understanding direct clients and the broker landscape.
  • Proven track record of establishing long-term relationships.
  • Capable of proactively creating business opportunities, establishing networks across various stakeholders.
  • Success in driving profitable business, maintaining and expanding existing and new business.
  • Comfort working in an international matrix organization, collaborating with regional and global teams.
  • Strong communication skills in both Swedish and English, with proficiency in other Nordic languages being advantageous.
  • Aptitude for leveraging IT to drive process enhancements and incorporating new digital work methods.
  • Experience with Sales Force is a plus.
  • Enthusiasm for operating in a dynamic environment, adapting and excelling within a context of transformation.
