AI Sweden is now looking for a PR Manager to join us in taking the next steps in using communications and PR to accelerate the use of applied AI in Sweden.
Artificial intelligence is transforming society. AI Sweden is the national center for applied artificial intelligence, jointly funded by the Swedish government and our partners, both public and private. Our mission is to accelerate the use of AI for the benefit of our society, our competitiveness, and for everyone living in Sweden.
We are now looking for a PR Manager to further strengthen our Communications Team.
About the positionAI Sweden is developing at a fast pace and we constantly work to improve how we build and position ourselves in the wider debate and strengthen our thought leadership. You will be part of an ambitious and driven communications team with backgroundsin journalism, marketing, social science and much more. The role will include tasks that are both strategic and hands on, such as:
- Act on opportunities for using PR and communications to inspire and catalyze decision makers towards using AI to create tangible business and societal value.
- Identify opportunities for positioning AI Sweden in the larger debate and contextualize what we do.
- Drive and implement a thought leadership strategy within prioritized areas in line with organizational goals.
- Proactively write press releases and articles, as well as provide input and liaise with our partner organizations for their PR activities.
- Advise the wider organization on PR-related issues.
- Manage, plan, execute and follow up on relevant PR activities during larger events and launches, such as press conferences.
- Act as AI Sweden's press secretary and build strong relations with relevant media and stakeholders.
- Support the leadership team and spokespersons with speaking points, core messaging and media training.
- Create PR-related content for our digital platforms.

- able to prioritize, coordinate and navigate incoming requests and collaborations with a wider range of partner organizations.
- great at seeing the bigger picture, opportunities and risks and draw relevant conclusions based on organizational goals.
- excellent at collaborating with people from many different disciplines and backgrounds and build trust with internal and external stakeholders.
- a doer and someone who makes things happen and constantly looks for ways to take the next step.
- comfortable with acting on your own initiative while understanding when to seek input from colleagues.
- have several years of experience working with PR, media relations and press, and the seniority to make judgment calls and drive your own area of work.
- are excellent at building networks and growing strong relationships with relevant media and stakeholders.
- are great at understanding complex topics and making them relevant to an external audience.
- have documented experience of shaping the conversation and setting the agenda in a successful way.
- are comfortable with both writing and speaking in Swedish and English.
