Working at Matsmart, you will join our fight against food waste and contribute to making the world a better place.

As our PR & Communications Manager, you will be responsible for crafting and conveying our corporate story and strengthening public relations across our markets. You will create and manage communication concepts and themes that resonate with key stakeholders, including consumers, partners, suppliers, the financial market, and employees. You will ensure consistency in our messages across earned, owned, and paid channels, developing communication strategies that capture people's attention. Media relations will be at the core of your responsibilities.

Reporting to the Chief People, Communications & Impact Officer, you will collaborate closely with the Management Team, Brand & Creative, and Regional Marketing and Leadership Teams.

What you'll do as a PR & Communications Manager
  • Develop, manage and execute the PR plan for our markets.
  • Launch and adapt global themes to fit local markets.
  • Create communication themes, concepts, and messages.
  • Coordinate and support local spokespersons in communication activities.
  • Produce and distribute written content for press and owned channels.
  • Manage and support communication activities such as events and stunts.
  • Ensure local message coherence.
To be successful in this role, we believe you need
  • A degree in Communications, PR, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in operational PR and media relations.
  • Expertise in corporate communication, message creation, and copywriting.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Swedish and English
  • Experience working with Communication and PR agencies.
  • Strategic thinking with the ability to prioritize and make decisions.
  • Ability to translate communication platforms and tone of voice into effective communication efforts, such as press releases, speeches, and supplier communications.
  • To be KPI-driven with an understanding of how to measure communication effectiveness.
  • Crisis communication skills
