This role is part of the central communications team and the international Marketing Community. As Corporate Communications Manager you will be instrumental in driving MAX growth agenda in Sweden, Poland, Norway and Denmark.

The various functions within team Communication work through owned and earned channels, including internal communication, corporate communication, PR, public affairs, crisis communication & crisis management, marketing communication, social media, and guest communication.

Job Description

The overall purpose of the role as Corporate Communications Manager is to improve and protect MAX reputation and image. Focus is on effective external communications and public affairs that supports MAX strategy and leverages commercial and sustainability activities in order to achieve the company's short- and long-term business goals.

Responsibilities include:

  • Planning, implementing, and evaluating various external communication activities.
  • Project management within the organization and with the PR agency.
  • Develop public affairs strategy and influence policy decisions and regulations that are relevant for MAX success.
  • Planning and train spokespersons, providing regular media training and advice for spokespersons.
  • Managing communication and media in crisis situations. Support and function as deputy for the lead crises coordinator.
  • Proactively drive news stories in earned media. Researching, writing, publishing and distributing press releases, incl. holding statements, Q&A:s and other material.
  • Organizing press briefings and conferences.
  • Planning, staffing and structuring press service at MAX.
  • Acting as point of contact, spokesperson, and facilitator for media enquiries.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant post-secondary education and at least eight years of experience in PR, communication, marketing, and/or journalism.
  • Proven ability to lead projects and take responsibility for delivering results.
  • Excellent planning, structuring, and follow-up skills in communication efforts.
  • Fluency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written, with the ability to develop texts for various channels and target audiences.
  • Experience in crisis communication. Competence in crisis communication is a plus.

  • Ideally, experience in the restaurant and service industry and a genuine interest in social issues.

Location

The position is located at the MAX office on Banérgatan in Stockholm. You will report to the Head of Communications.
