Chief Technology Officer (CTO)

Job Description:

As the Chief Technology Officer (CTO), you will be a key member of the executive team, responsible for driving the technological vision and strategy of the company. You will lead the development and implementation of innovative AI solutions that will shape the future of education and training. This role requires a visionary leader with a deep technical background, strong leadership skills, and a passion for transforming education through technology.

Key Responsibilities:

Technology Strategy and Vision:

  • Develop and execute the company's technical strategy in alignment with business goals.
  • Identify emerging technology trends and ensure the company remains at the forefront of AI advancements in education.
  • Oversee all system design and changes in system architecture.

Leadership and Team Management:

  • Lead, mentor, and grow the engineering and product development teams.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Manage the technology team's budget and resource allocation.

Product Development:

  • Drive the development of AI-based educational products from concept to launch.
  • Ensure the scalability, performance, and reliability of the company's technology infrastructure.
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of software, algorithms, and data systems.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Work closely with the CEO and other executive team members to define product roadmaps and business strategies.
  • Liaise with stakeholders, including investors, partners, and customers, to communicate technical plans and progress.
  • Ensure effective communication and collaboration between engineering, product, and other departments.

Risk Management and Compliance:

  • Identify and mitigate technological risks.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards, particularly regarding data privacy and security.

Experience:

  • Proven experience as a CTO or in a similar leadership role, preferably in a start-up environment.
  • Extensive experience in AI/ML, natural language processing, and/or educational technology.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and deploying scalable software products.
  • Experience with pre-seed or early-stage companies is highly desirable.

Technical Skills:

  • Deep understanding of AI/ML frameworks, tools, and technologies.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++.
  • Experience with cloud services (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) and data infrastructure.

Leadership Skills:

  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to execute and deliver results.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Ph.D. is a plus.
