Storytel is one of the world's leading audiobook and e-book streaming services. At Storytel we believe that powerful stories add an extra dimension to life. We offer hundreds of thousands of audiobooks and e-books to customers in 25+ markets, with several new markets launching in the coming year. To support our continued growth of entering an additional 25 markets over the next three years, we are looking to strengthen our Finance team with our first dedicated M&A resource.

Role and responsibilities:

The Storytel M&A manager will work on Storytel's mergers and acquisitions, strategic investments and other corporate transactions. You will work closely with several members of our management team. In this role you will actively manage the entire M&A transaction journey, from proactively finding the acquisition's targets or deals to coordinate full integration. You will be reporting to the CFO.

A candidate for this role must have the ability to manage multiple projects at once and to follow through and meet deadlines. The Storytel M&A Manager must also have strong interpersonal skills, a genuine team-player mindset and be able to work independently within a cross-functional team as well as with external business partners. Strong business judgment, ability to think strategically and to give practical advice constitute basic requirements.

Responsibilities

Together with internal stakeholders make a plan, aligned with M&A strategy, on what to acquire/which transactions to participate in and act proactively on it Handle initial valuation, signing of NDA, establish key terms and process for a contemplated transaction Coordinate all M&A projects from start to negotiation and due diligence to finish of integration Be responsible for presentations on M&A projects to management

Your profile

Finance, business, or Accounting education background, MBA preferred. + 10 years of relevant work experience, either from the investment banking sector, transaction services, financial advisory or a management consultancy. Have strong analytical and organizational skills Have a strong analytical background and experience with M&A projects Are a flexible, change-oriented and self-motivated team player Have good communication skills in Swedish and English Have strong skills in Excel
