We are seeking a motivated and adaptable Footwear Technologist with experience in product development, a love for fashion, and a commitment to delivering the best fit and quality for our customers. We envision you as a visionary who inspires and engages the team to work towards shared goals encompassing sustainability, creativity, inclusion, and diversity.

Responsibilities:

  • Strong technical expertise in fitting standards, with the ability to address fitting issues and provide detailed fit comments.
  • Travel to suppliers in the Far East to optimize manufacturing processes and constructions.
  • Develop relationships with suppliers and factories, collaborating closely with the production office.
  • Extensive knowledge of lasts, last measurements, and outsole materials.
  • Understanding and adjustment of blueprints and 3D outsole files.
  • Analytical approach to interpreting selling & returns data and modifying products based on feedback.
  • Thorough follow-up and corrective actions.
  • Risk assessment skills for detailed footwear fitting and analysis.
  • Research on new lasts, outsoles, technologies, and materials to enhance fit and quality.
  • Provide technical solutions to support design objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Footwear Technologist or similar role with a BA Fashion degree.
  • Comprehensive understanding of manufacturing production processes.
  • Experience in Far East supplier visits and knowledge of manufacturing processes.
  • Familiarity with PLM, Illustrator, and 3D systems.
  • Fashion-forward with knowledge of the latest trends and technical advancements.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Preferably experienced in Men's footwear.
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to work under pressure, and prioritize effectively.
  • Alignment with H&M's values and quality standards.
  • Independent yet collaborative, adaptable, and customer-centric mindset.
  • Effective English communication skills.
