Job Description

As a Footwear Technologist at H&M, you will play a key role in developing the men's shoe range, specializing in fit and product development for men's footwear. Your responsibilities will involve working on diversified silhouettes, various qualities, and details in the men's footwear category. Some key responsibilities include:

  • Strong technical knowledge in fitting standards with the ability to address and solve fitting issues effectively.
  • Traveling to suppliers in the Far East to optimize manufacturing processes and enhance relationships with suppliers and factories.
  • Extensive understanding of lasts and last measurements, last development, outsole materials, and properties.
  • Amending blueprints and 3D outsole files, with an analytical mindset to improve products based on feedback.
  • Conducting detailed footwear fitting and risk analysis to ensure product quality.
  • Researching new technologies, materials, and solutions to enhance fit and quality.
  • Supporting design teams with technical solutions to achieve the desired product aesthetics.

Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years experience as a Footwear Technologist with a BA Fashion degree.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of manufacturing production processes, experience in the Far East, and proficiency in PLM, Illustrator, and 3D systems.
  • Up-to-date with fashion trends, proficient in Microsoft Office applications, and ideally experienced in Men's shoes.
  • Excellent organizational skills, ability to work under pressure, prioritize workload, and maintain attention to detail and quality.
  • Demonstrated understanding of company values, customer-centric mindset, and ability to set technical strategies.
  • Effective verbal and written English communication skills.
