What You'll Do

Interested to be part of running commercial processes, drive profitability and develop finance reporting? If yes, this role could be a good fit for you This role is a parental cover for 15 months. In this role you would be developing cutting-edge financial processes, collaborating with regional teams, and influencing senior leadership on strategic decisions. Your expertise will enhance operational efficiency, compliance, and innovation across BCG. The role spans a wide range of tasks and responsibilities related to project management, investments, finance and various business analyses. Your responsibilities will among others include:

Financial Management and Reporting:

  • Provide in-depth analysis on the broader commercial agenda, profitability, leakage, pricing, and investments. Lead discussions on revenue management and related topics with senior leaders.
  • Lead the development and execution of revenue management strategies, e.g. complex commercial set-ups and investment related matters, by collaborating and influencing leadership, while introducing, testing, and expanding innovative initiatives.
  • Own the DSO and compliance agenda by e.g. ensuring correct and actionable reporting to minimize DSO and mitigate risk. Be involved and contribute in regional DSO (Days of Sales Outstanding), compliance and commercial forums.
  • Ensure the implementation and maintenance of robust compliance reporting systems to monitor and mitigate business risks, ensuring adherence to legal, regulatory, and internal policy requirements

Process Improvement and Technology Adoption:

  • Continuously evaluate and enhance financial processes to improve efficiency, accuracy, and productivity.
  • Seek out and implement new technological tools to optimize business controlling functions.

Global and Regional Initiatives:

  • Participate in and contribute to regional and global initiatives to drive wider impact and implement global solutions.
  • Foster cross-functional relationships to ensure the business controlling team is well-integrated and has a 'seat at the table' in key decision-making processes.

Expertise and Problem-Solving:

  • Act as the subject matter expert on complex financial, commercial and business issues, providing innovative solutions to challenges that arise.
  • Contribute to the firm's strategic initiatives by delivering insights and recommendations based on thorough analysis.
  • Educate, train and communicate commercial best practices throughout organization for our Partners and Sr. Consulting Staff. 


What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a financial role in a professional services firm, with a focus on business controlling.
  • Demonstrated expertise in financial analysis, process improvement, and stakeholder management.
  • Proficiency in financial software and a strong attitude for learning new technologies.
  • Excellent communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines, with a focus on high-quality output.
  • Comfortable working autonomously with little support
  • Skilled user of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. Other systems should as SAP Business Objects, Alteryx, Tableau and similar is a big plus

  • Process Management: Adept at improving financial processes and systems for better efficiency and accuracy.  
  • Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of financial principles and the ability to apply this knowledge in a dynamic business environment.

  • Ability to perform successfully in a fast-paced, intellectually driven, service-oriented environment and to interpret rules and guidelines flexibly to improve the business and keeping with BCG´s values and culture  
  • Experience working successfully within a complex matrix structured organization is essential  


Who You'll Work With

The Business Controlling Manager reports to the Nordic Finance Senior Director and is part of a +25 person Finance team located in Stockholm. Members of our finance team are responsible for preserving the intellectual capital, assets, and integrity of BCG. We make a decisive impact on the firm’s direction, performance, and risk-management models. Finance jobs include accounting and reporting, planning and analysis, tax and treasury, financial systems, payroll, and executive compensation.
