Job Purpose

The Specialty (STG) line of business (LOB) consists of two main parts: Transportation (including ODYSSEY Battery) and EnerSys Advanced Systems (EAS – Aviation, Defence and Space). This role will provide marketing communications support across these two areas.

The post holder will report to, and work closely with, the Senior Marketing Manager to support sales teams, product management and other relevant directors and managers to provide marketing communications support across the LOB for EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Literature & print

To support the project management and delivery of all printed materials. Working with designers and/or agencies to deliver items including: product guides, range summaries, segment specific brochures and promotional material as required. To oversee and manage the translation (into various languages) of literature items as required. This will require working with, and managing, translation agencies. To manage the print ordering process in coordination with suppliers, online ordering system and individual requests in line with budget control.

Advertising and PR

To support the Senior Marketing Manager and wider global marketing team, with the development of advertising and PR campaigns, including liaison with agencies and suppliers, content development, media bookings, logistics and budget monitoring.

Merchandise

To manage the supply of all merchandise items for STG EMEA. With day-to-day responsibility for the online shop/s, which will mean managing supplier relationships, updating/ordering stock, and dealing with user enquiries to fulfil orders across EMEA.

Sales support

Develop meaningful sales content to enable the sales team to target the right customers with the right set of information and materials for the specific stage of the buying journey; like sales decks and training materials support.

Exhibitions and events

To support with the provision of all exhibitions and events. This will include liaison with suppliers, organising events, hotel and logistics bookings as well as attending events to oversee the production, support the sales teams and provide hospitality support when required.

Website and social media

To assist with managing the ODYSSEY Battery EMEA website – ensuring timely updates, development of content and project planning for future developments. To support with STG content development and updating of the EnerSys.com website, working with colleagues from across the wider business. To work with colleagues, suppliers and agencies to develop content and presence across all social media channels, including: LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook and YouTube.

Photography & video

To support with the management and control of video and still image assets, including updating the media library, arranging photo and video shoots, together with helping scope, script and source suppliers for the development of content.

Sponsorships

To support in the management of all sponsorship contracts. This will include receiving applications and ensuring they are processed, executing contracts (including legal sign-off) and that obligations are delivered by both parties. To attend sponsorship events as and when required, these could include motorsport racing events, awards events and supported exhibitions/shows.

Budget and Invoicing

To support with the management and control of the marketing budget, including the control of invoices (checking and submitting for payment), recording of spend, management of accruals and forward planning in line with the marketing plan. Education & Experience Requirements

A business-related degree, preferably in (or applicable modules in) marketing or marketing communications. A good understanding of business infrastructures, with the ability to build good relationships and networks. Excellent interpersonal skills; being able to converse, negotiate and develop good working relationships with stakeholders (internal and external) at all levels. Demonstrable experience in managing and administering complex projects, using project management and reporting tools. Two to three year’s industry experience within a similar manufacturing/technical environment or demonstrable transferrable skills in line with the job requirements. Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications with specific demonstrable experience of applications used for marketing communications – Word, PowerPoint, Excel. Knowledge of website content management systems together with a good understanding of social media platforms would be an advantage. Preferable experience with Salesforce CRM and SAP. Knowledge and experience of managing invoices and budget monitoring. Ability to communicate (orally and in writing) in a professional manner when dealing with customers, field sales and company contacts. Demonstrable experience in dealing with challenging and complex issues and individuals with the ability to negotiate and seek support when and where required. Proficient in the English language, spoken and written. Multilingual a plus

Travel

Ability to drive with a full, clean driving licence preferred. Estimated 15-25% UK and Europe travel, dependent upon work requirements.
