As part of our journey to transform ourselves and elevate H&M through our Brand Plan, we are creating a new Strategy, Innovation, and Business Development function. The purpose of the new function is to accelerate our brand plan ambitions and collaborate across business functions, to simplify and create clarity for teams working towards our common direction. 

The new function consists of 3 units which work as a unified strategic muscle around our core business internally, including mobilization of business development needs and execution of the strategy future growth. 

Strategy Unit focuses on securing a clear common direction and strategic plan ensuring clarity and alignment across the organization on what to deliver on. 

Business Development and Delivery Unit focuses on identifying development priorities based on strategy, and shape and run core programs with the right competence to mobilize, engage and support the organization to deliver as well as track progress. 

Innovation Unit focuses on setting our innovation agenda based on strategy, be the “antenna” to the outside world and go after disruptive opportunities that have the potential to become scaled innovation. 

Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Program Manager to join the Business Development and Delivery unit. You will be part of a central team to drive our strategic direction and the core agenda of H&M. You will have a key role in establishing our new unit including setting up collaboration within the team, as we as ways of working and collaboration with business functions and stakeholders within the company. 

Key responsibilities:  

As a Senior Program Manager you will collaborate closely with the business functions to deliver our most strategic core programs, focusing on value creation, growth and delivering exceptional customer and business results. This will be a key role to accelerate our business development plans and programs across H&M. You will report to the Head of Business Development and Delivery and work closely with our business functions to: 

Run Core Program along best practices of standardized set up and governance (cross-functionally) with clearly defined expectations and deliverables (timelines, financial milestones, investments etc.)  Secure delivery for program totality and work streams, ensuring sequencing of activities is meaningful and aligned to successfully complete program  Translate Core Program into work streams, must-win activities along timeline, ensure resourcing per work stream, clarify and sequence scope as needed  Lead and coach Program team members to optimize outcome / results, challenges, ways of working and progress  Set up team internal routines for efficient collaboration; hold interface to key stakeholders of the Program  Identify and act on potential needs to adjust program plans when needed  Escalate major delays and roadblocks that hinders project delivery on schedule to key stakeholders and Head of Delivery & Bus Dev.

Key requirements: 

8 years+ work experience in project and program management  Experience in leading multiple large-scale cross-functional programs, including change management and implementation of processes and systems.  Proven track record of large and complex program delivery from initiation to completion that drive business results  High degree of strategic business acumen with keen eye to identify business opportunities, problems and risks and ability to prioritize  Evidence of leading teams to achieve high performance, meeting strategic goals and delivering business results  Outstanding interpersonal skills, and shown ability to mobilize, intervene and mitigate as well as to cross-collaborate, including stakeholder management with executive leadership  Excellent communication and presentation skills including written and verbal skills in English  Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field such as: Business Administration, Project Management, Operations Management, Engineering  Master’s Degree (preferred but not mandatory) in a relevant field such as: Master of Business Administration (MBA), Master’s in Project Management, Master’s in Operations Management, Master’s in Engineering
