Visa is seeking a Director of Brand & Customer Partnerships Nordics and Baltics. This crucial role will lead teams in our cluster headquarters in Stockholm. The role involves supporting the planning, development, and execution of the country’s marketing, brand content, and marketing services activities, creating client partnerships for the market.

Reporting to the VP Head of Marketing and Customer Partnerships for UK, Ireland, Nordic and Baltic Regions, the successful candidate will regularly interact with key executives, influencing decisions on investment, campaign development, agency selection, and Objectives / Key Results (OKRs). This includes interaction with the EU CMO, VP Brand, Content & Experiential, Regional and Global Centers of Excellence, and regional cross-functional teams. Regular interaction with Client and Partner senior executives is also required.

The Director of Brand & Customer Partnerships N&B will:

Lead all Visa brand and customer partnership activities in the Nordics and Baltics, including brand marketing, digital/social media, and marketing services with key tier 1 national clients. Lead the creation and implementation of marketing campaigns to drive issuance, preference, activation, and usage among diverse audiences, solidifying Visa’s positioning as the leader in electronic payments in the market by developing marketing campaigns that drive profitable transactions and revenue for both Visa and its clients. Enhance brand positioning to drive relevance and preference across Europe, targeting key audience segments including Gen Z through music, gaming, and social media platforms, ensuring that all teams and colleagues can translate it into their own objectives and deliverables. Leverage our top sponsorship properties (i.e., FIFA, Olympics, UEFA Women’s Football) through creating engaging marketing programs that win with consumers and clients. Be accountable for the optimal deployment of budget, demonstrating an MROI across functions, partnering with key stakeholders to prioritize high impact outcomes that advance Visa’s strategies across consumer payment flows, commercial solutions, and value-added services. Provide strategic thought leadership as part of the market’s business plan. Effectively partner with the Sales teams and Country Managers to properly incorporate the view of the market (client, competition, economy trends) into the marketing strategies Collaborate with teams including Marketing Services and Product Marketing to expand capabilities and synergies and drive commercial outcomes, while building strong internal and external partnership Drive the development of client co-marketing and marketing services at a C-suite level, making marketing and the Visa brand more valuable to these stakeholders. Communicate regularly with executive leadership in the market and successfully navigate the diverse and dynamic business environment. Oversee complex local projects in partnership with stakeholders within and outside of the function, including Marketing Services, Legal, Sales and Product, Client, and agencies. Own key client relationships and lead client negotiations around the implementation of marketing activities Partner with the commercial teams in BAU, renewals and RFPs, focusing on developing unique value propositions and managing high-quality content. Lead and inspire a team of marketers across B2C and Client activities and develop the team to become the best marketing organization in the market, ensuring appropriate succession planning, maximizing employee engagement, and holding individuals accountable for clear outcomes. Understand market trends and consumer needs to deliver marketing strategies that meet core OKRs. Ensure all marketing activities have measurable outcomes and maintain a robust feedback loop for continuous improvement. Support the implementation of a global operating model, facilitating local empowerment while eliminating hub / cluster silos, adapting where required to drive market-level impact. Utilize insights from Analytics and Data Science teams to identify opportunities for Visa and partners, addressing client / market conditions. Prioritize digital marketing actions, incorporating AI/Machine Learning. Collaborate with Regional Hub functions to identify specialized agencies and manage briefings for content and experience initiatives. Support the development of a 'Winning in Digital' strategy for Europe, working with pan-regional colleagues to ensure that the business objectives of both the Nordics and Baltics and the broader European territory are met.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

• Results-oriented marketer with experience with world-class brands.
• Experience in the fundamentals of marketing, with a clear commercial focus.
• Experience with executive level client engagement, while a proven track record in selling products
and services to clients, cross-selling/up-selling, and cultivating and growing strategic partnerships
is critical.
•Experience in Solution/Capability selling, with a focus on crafting compelling value propositions,
narratives, and sales pitches.
• Proven leadership skills building and leading high performing organizations – experience in working
in a matrixed environment would be an advantage.
• Self-motivator and strong collaborator with a pioneering spirit.
• Outstanding written and verbal communications and ability to communicate to a diverse customer
audience, including C-level executives, internal audiences, and external partners.
• Adept and rigorous strategic thinker, problem solver and pragmatist, using data to convey insight
with strong story telling capabilities.
• Proactive sense of urgency and ‘can do’ attitude, ability to lead a team that can be agile and evolve
and adapt to dynamic business conditions.
• Demonstrable experience managing relationships with partners, suppliers, and vendors.
•English proficiency essential while at least one other major language in the relevant countries highly
desired.
• Educated to degree level or equivalent professional experience.
