About Abbott Diagnostics Division

Our solutions are used in healthcare institutions, physician offices, emergency rooms and laboratories thousands of times every day, in practically every country around the world. Our test results are often the “start” button for patient care decision-making – influencing 70% of critical healthcare decisions for millions of people worldwide. The crucial information derived from our testing platforms helps inform treatment decisions for hundreds of health conditions from heart attacks to blood disorders to infectious diseases and cancers.

The Role

The Technical Service Specialist is responsible for performing field service and planned maintenance activities, hardware and software upgrades (TSBs) and for back up first line level supporting and assisting with installations and deinstallations.


Responsibilities

Performing field service troubleshoots technical problems and upgrades for hardware and software (TSBs).

Schedule and perform planned/ predictive maintenance (PM/PdM) activities

Assist with instrument installations and deinstallations

Success in this role is measured by customer satisfaction score (NPS), service key performance indicators achievement and economic growth and profitability per region

Provide phone support to our customers.

Requirements

Bachelors degree or equivalent experience required. Bachelors / Engineering degree in medical / electrical / mechanical or medical technology is preferred.

Proven track record in a similar position supported by management and customer references is preferred, but we recommend also new graduate to apply.

Successful engagement with customers, specifically lab staff.

Technical expert for product line responsibility

Strong communication skills

Ability to identify and drive resolution of issues

Strong experience in use of analytical tools and software

Good computer skills

Fluent in Swedish

Good English skills in speech and writing
