Are you a skilled negotiator who loves making a good deal? Do you have a passion for networking and building external relationships? Do you want to be an instrumental part of building Matsmart’s business through strategic sourcing?

In this role you will be a key player in the pumping heart of the business; everything we do starts with sourcing and our suppliers. You will be a part of our Nordic Sourcing team and report to our Head of Sourcing. The team works in an agile and constantly changing environment where you have full responsibility for your suppliers, taking quick and bold decisions, yet with a fact-based approach. You will be part of building the future of our sourcing team and taking our supplier base management to the next level.

What you’ll do

We are looking for an excellent individual who will be responsible for purchasing Nordic assortment with focus on the Danish and southern Swedish supplier base.

In this role you'll own our relationships with suppliers and develop and strengthen our existing partnerships. You'll constantly build the supplier base by acquiring new suppliers and brand partners, and optimize your purchase decisions to meet KPIs in terms of assortment, margins, stock turnover and payment terms. 

Together with our merchandising team, you'll develop and implement our assortment strategy.

To be successful, we believe you need

A relevant Bachelor's degree or similar At least five years experience in sales or purchasing of consumer goods Significant experience from working with external partners and building relationships Experience from consumer goods/FMCG/e-commerce industry Excellent negotiator and communications skills Category/Spend or KAM experience Strong numerical and analytical ability Ability to cope with a high workload in a fast-paced environment Fluency in English. Fluency in Danish is a big plus.
