About RayIntelligence

RayIntelligence is a data platform for radiotherapy clinics, enabling advanced analytics and machine learning based on real-world clinical data. Our platform supports routine clinical operations as well as research and clinical trials, helping clinicians unlock insights that advance cancer care. We collaborate closely with leading clinics worldwide to develop impactful use cases that drive innovation in oncology.

About the position

In this position, your focus will be on data modeling, where you will serve as a key resource for the team - developing best practices, guiding design decisions, and strengthening the team's expertise in this area. You will also collaborate on broader data engineering tasks within the team's agile workflow.

What you will do

  • Design and implement robust data models in dbt to enable clinical analytics, regulatory reporting, and machine learning use cases — working with datasets from:
  • RayStation: Radiation therapy planning system providing precise dose and geometry data
  • RayCare: Oncology information system managing patient records, workflows, and treatment-room setup verification
  • Custom sources from partner clinics
  • Shape and advance our data modeling methodology to support advanced analytics and regulatory reporting — evaluating and selecting proven approaches to ensure scalability, compliance, and long-term maintainability.
  • Building ETL/ELT pipelines running in a distributed processing environment
  • Collaborate with a cross-functional team of engineers and clinical partners to co-develop impactful use cases
  • Leverage a hybrid infrastructure of AWS cloud services and on-premises systems to deliver flexibility and scalability for our analytical platform, utilizing PostgreSQL and SQL Server

What we are looking for

  • Deep understanding of how to model data to support analytics, compliance, and machine learning
  • Experience in data engineering, analytics engineering or data warehousing in complex environments
  • Proficiency in SQL & Python
  • Experience with dbt
  • Sound software engineering practices including design, test automation and CI/CD
