Job Mission
As a Data Engineer at Tibber you'll be building the foundation of our data capabilities, helping to continue to push the boundaries of how to more efficiently process the vast amounts of data that power our data-driven solutions.

You'll work within the Data team, which plays a vital part of Tibber's mission to empower the clever by using data and technology to make it easier for our customers to make smarter energy choices. The Data team is a group of data engineers and data scientists, working together to break new ground in how to efficiently process, analyze and deliver data in a way that creates new insights and enables better decision-making for our customers.

What You'll Do

• Build and maintain scalable, robust, and efficient data pipelines in a modern cloud environment, ensuring our platform reliably supports growing data demands.
• Design and develop data ingestion and processing frameworks that streamline the flow of information, delivering timely and accurate data to power insights.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to clarify needs and craft data-driven solutions, elevating user experiences and unlocking new possibilities.
• Own and evolve the infrastructure behind our data platform, leveraging emerging technologies to bolster stability, performance, and cost-effectiveness.
• Stay curious about the latest data engineering best practices, helping Tibber stay at the forefront of architecture, scalability and governance best practices
• Iterate and refine workflows based on stakeholder feedback, team insights, and the evolving requirements of a dynamic energy market.

What We're Looking For

• A passion for building scalable data solutions. You enjoy turning data into reliable, long-lasting systems that make a real impact.
• A growth mindset. You learn quickly, adapt to new tools, and value collaboration. Curiosity and problem-solving matter more than ticking every box.
• Strong experience with SQL and Python, and the ability to write clean, reliable code for scaling datasets.
• Several years of hands-on experience in data engineering, working with pipelines, transformations, and data modelling in a production environment.
• Awareness of modern delivery practices. Familiarity with CI/CD, version control, and basic data security principles.
