FLOX Robotics seeks Senior Robotics Engineer and Developer with a Flare for the Imagination

FLOX Robotics is a Stockholm-based KTH deep tech spin-off developing AI and autonomous drone (UAV) solutions to manage wild animals away from cultivated fields, preventing food loss while also utilizing the core technology for other use-cases such as enabling regrowth of young forests and avoiding wildlife-vehicle collisions. We are an impact-oriented company , rapidly growing since our launch late 2020, with a vision to turn human-wildlife conflict (HWC) into a new way of Coexistence with Wildlife. Reimagined.

We are looking for a talented senior robotics engineer and developer with a flare for the imagination and an entrepreneurial mindset, to join our core team for a long-term journey. As a senior robotics engineer and developer, you should be able to multitask and understand the robotics components of the system and help in the design, development, and building of software that will be essential for product development. You will be in charge of different parts of the drone system, from path planning implementation to software integration of our AI algorithms. Finally, management and organizational skills are paramount given our long-term vision and the increasing momentum of the company.

The right fit for this position

  • Degree in computer science, robotics engineering, or similar
  • Deep knowledge in robotics software development
  • Previous experience in building, developing, and maintaining robotics software stacks, as well as modifying software to fix errors, adapt it to new hardware, or improve its performance
  • Experience in directing system testing and validation procedures
  • Directing software programming and documentation development
  • Knowledge of ROS (robot operating system), PX4, Python, C++, Linux
  • Consulting with engineering staff to evaluate software-hardware interfaces and develop specifications and performance requirements
  • Designing and developing software systems using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcomes and design consequences
  • Willing to work in a dynamic environment
  • Excellent motivational skills and multitasking abilities
  • Good command in both written and spoken English

You will work with our core team to find the best possible solutions to solve the problems caused by wild animals in agriculture. You will be working right alongside our growth-oriented team and will have the opportunity to develop within the company.
