You will support the DAAV team in developing revolutionizing mobility for individuals with reduced mobility, particularly in airport settings. Their flagship product, DAAV-air, is an autonomous, AI-powered wheelchair designed to enhance passenger independence and streamline airport operations.

Role Overview

We are seeking a Robotics Field Engineer Intern to support the DAAV team during a pilot test project at Arlanda Airport in Stockholm. This full-time internship offers a unique opportunity to contribute to

the development of next-generation mobility solutions in a dynamic startup environment. You will

deploy, test, and evaluate our mobility solution during the pilot test in collaboration with the core

technical team of DAAV. Furthermore, you will communicate with passengers and airport staff to

gather their feedback. Your contribution will be pivotal in tailoring the robotic platform and software

to the real-world challenges we are solving for DAAVs clients.

Responsibilities

● Learn to deploy and operate the DAAV-air wheelchair

● Conduct real-world trials with airport passengers at Arlanda Airport

● Contribute to the development of new features

● Test new features in the operational context

● Collect data and organize it for easy use

● Communicate, collaborate with and gather feedback from airport staff, passengers, and

other stakeholders

Key Qualifications

● Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering,

Computer Science, Robotics, or a related field.

● Basic knowledge of Python or C++

● Experience with Linux operating system

● Hands-on, prior experience with robots

● Ability to produce well organized and structured results

● Excellent communication skills

● Fluent in English and Swedish

● A proactive attitude and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Additional Qualifications

● Experience with ROS (Robot Operating System)

● Experience working with customers on a daily basis

● Previous experience working with older persons, persons with disabilities, and/or reduced

mobility
