Data Lead

A Data Lead at Telavox does more than manage pipelines; they define data strategy, shape architecture, deliver high-quality data products, and mentor teams.

As a Data Lead at Telavox, you will own the strategy and roadmap for our central Data Platform. You will lead the transition to a modern, event-driven architecture, ensure operational continuity for Finance and other key teams, and deliver curated, high-quality data products for both internal stakeholders and Operator customers. In this role, you will collaborate closely with BI & Analytics, Product, and Engineering teams, while leading and mentoring a team of Data Engineers to drive excellence across our data initiatives.

Your day-to-day work may include:

Defining and owning the long-term vision and roadmap for Telavox's Data Platform, including data modeling and governance frameworks

Leading the shift from a fragmented data landscape to a modern, event-driven platform

Ensuring operational continuity for Finance processes and delivering critical usage, billing, and CDR data

Building scalable data streaming APIs for Operator customers

Collaborating with stakeholders to provide curated, user-centric Data Products

Monitoring platform performance, data quality, and adoption metrics

Leading, mentoring, and growing the technical capabilities of the Data Platform team

This role is based at our new vibrant HQ called Gjuteriet, in Västra Hamnen, Malmö.

You are a visionary and hands-on leader who can turn complex data challenges into strategic advantages. You bridge the gap between business needs and technical execution, and you thrive on building reliable, high-value data solutions.

Key skills and experience we're looking for:

Proven leadership experience managing technical teams (Data Engineers/Software Engineers)

Deep expertise in modern data architecture, cloud platforms (GCP preferred), streaming technologies (Debezium/PubSub/Kafka), and data transformation tools (dbt/Dataform), and data warehousing technologies (BigQuery)

Experience with data governance, quality, and secure platform operations

Strong stakeholder management and communication skills

Familiarity with Telco data (usage, billing, CDR) is a plus

You are proactive, structured, and ready to turn Telavox's data into a strategic asset that drives growth and operational excellence.
