Your role and responsibilities

Robotics Parts & Logistics is responsible for the availability and delivery of spare parts to our robot systems worldwide. There are nearly spare parts in the offer and more than order lines are yearly delivered from our warehouses in Germany, China and US. Our customers require high availability, fast deliveries and reliable support.

As a Purchasing Specialist within Robotics Parts & Logistics you are responsibility for the day-to-day purchasing activities for a range of spare parts to meet customer demands. Your main responsibility is to ensure that the materials are purchased and delivered on time and to the required specifications, always with the customer in focus. Besides this you are responsible for continuously improving supplier relations as well as purchasing processes in order to meet our business targets.

Your responsibilities:

  • Secure daily operational purchasing activities.
  • Analyzing supplier flows to identify optimal process solutions for on time delivery of parts
  • Manage supplier relations and related meetings/reporting, monitoring supplier performance, focusing on On-Time Delivery (OTD) and Quality.
  • Proactively work to avoid stockouts and ensure a smooth process from Purchase Requisition (PR) to Purchase Order (PO) and payment ensuring availability.
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities and projects.
  • Close cooperation with other units, both inside and outside ABB.

Your background

  • Strong social and communicative skills, with the ability to build good relations and be a supportive team member.
  • Customer first mindset.
  • Self-driven personality with a strong sense of ownership and an ability for analytical thinking and problem solving.
  • Strong social skills and ability to build good relations.
  • Several years of experience within operational/tactical purchasing.
  • Experience within Lean 6 Sigma or other problem-solving methods, or willingness to learn.
  • System experience: ERP (e.g. SAP), PBI and Microsoft tools.
  • Fluent in both Swedish and English, written and spoken.
