The role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Test Engineer to strengthen our team in validating and verifying software functionality for Door Control Systems in modern vehicle platforms. In this role, you will work closely with internal teams to execute, analyze, and troubleshoot tests across multiple environments, including rigs and vehicles. Your contribution will ensure robust functionality for features such as locking, child safety, and window operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform control validation before software integration.
  • Execute pre-integration testing, including:
  • Manual validation steps such as software download (SWDL) and part number checks.
  • Functional and regression testing for locking and window control features.
  • Early fault analysis to identify issues before integration.
  • Conduct post-integration testing:
  • System-level verification in both rig and vehicle environments.
  • Validate integrated software performance and functionality.
  • Confirm fixes and close reported issues.
  • Fault Management & Analysis:
  • Create structured fault reports and route them per defined processes.
  • Support fault reproduction and assist in root cause analysis.
  • Analyze logs and measurement data for troubleshooting.
  • Develop and implement verification strategies and update test cases in respective Requirements management systems.
  • Execute validation activities according to approved plans and prepare detailed reports.
  • Support component-level testing in vehicles, proving grounds, and factory environments.
  • Collaborate closely with test leads and developers, adapting to shifting priorities.

Technical Scope:

  • Test Levels:
    Component, Subsystem, and Complete Vehicle/HIL/VIL.
  • Functions in Scope:
    Lock/Unlock, Child Lock, Side Door Maneuvering, Window Control.
  • Key Components:
    Door Control Units (FLDM, FRDM, RLDM, RRDM) and related software modules.

Requirements

  • ISTQB certification or equivalent knowledge of testing principles and methodologies.
  • Strong understanding of ASPICE and automotive testing standards.
  • Valid Swedish driver's license (B).
  • Previous experience in automotive environments.
  • Excellent communication skills; collaborative, pragmatic, and solution oriented.
  • Fault slip-through analysis and creation of new test cases.
  • Familiarity with proving grounds and factory testing environments.

    Teamcenter (TCe).
  • Calibration & Measurement:
    ETAS INCA.
  • Debugging & Trace Analysis:
    Lauterbach.
  • Vehicle Communication & Diagnostics:
    Carcom.
