Role Description

We are seeking a skilled
Data Engineer
to join the
Customer Analytics team
within
Customer IT Nordics
. You will be part of a collaborative team of 40 engineers focused on designing, developing, and maintaining scalable analytics solutions that support business decision-making and innovation.

The role involves end-to-end responsibility from design and development to testing, deployment, and handover primarily using
Microsoft Azure cloud services
.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and integrate data from various sources using
    Azure Data Factory
    and
    Databricks
    .
  • Develop and maintain
    Power BI dashboards
    to enhance decision accuracy and business insight.
  • Create and optimize
    data models
    ensuring scalability, efficiency, and performance.
  • Collaborate with Solution Designers, DevOps, and business stakeholders to ensure sustainable data solutions.
  • Own the delivery of high-quality, secure, and scalable code.
  • Participate in
    code reviews
    , mentor team members, and address technical debt.
  • Support
    platform monitoring, performance optimization
    , and
    FinOps alignment
    .
  • Engage in full development cycles — including requirements analysis, testing, and deployment.

Technical Expertise

  • Cloud:
    Microsoft Azure (Data Factory, Databricks, Data Lake, Azure SQL Database)
  • Data Modeling:
    Design and optimization of scalable data structures
  • ETL/ELT:
    Enterprise-scale data pipeline design and support
  • Visualization:
    Power BI dashboard development
  • Programming:
    Proficiency in SQL and scripting for data manipulation
  • Security:
    Understanding of secure data handling and governance principles

Education & Experience

  • Education:
    Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field (minimum Secondary/College education accepted)
  • Experience:
    Minimum 3 years in Data Engineering
  • Preferred Industry Expertise:
    Google Data Engineering, Azure-based analytics

Soft Skills

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Interest in business-driven analytics and reporting insights
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and solution-oriented mindset
  • Experience with AI tools (e.g., Databricks Assistant, GitHub Copilot, M365 Copilot)
