Software Factory & Release @Vehicle Engineering

At Vehicle Engineering we are little over 2000 colleagues working together on chassi, interior, climate, body and exterior functions, mechanical Integration and a range of vehicle attributes with impact on design and customer experience of our complete product.

Software is a big part of our product development which requires us at Software Factory & Release to lead the software development framework to ensure fast and quality assured integration and release of software products for Vehicle Engineering.

You will be part of the newly established HIL Infrastructure & Operations group consisting of Software Engineering Analysts and Test Engineers developing software test frameworks and test environments such as HIL (Hardware-In-Loop) rigs and test vehicles. We also triage and nurse the software automation flows as part of our daily operation.

What you'll do

The group consists of four areas: HIL Development, HIL Operations, Fleet Operations and Triage & Nursing. You will be part of the HIL Operations team where you will lead the team and report to the Engineering Manager of the group. The HIL Operations team manages the scheduling of the test rigs, performs software baseline updates, troubleshoots rig issues and handles overall maintenance of the test rigs. As lead for the team, you will in addition to hands on technical work also manage the backlog, plan the work and report status to stakeholders which makes this a critical role in our success.

What you'll bring

We are looking for you who has a genuine interest in software testing and want to make an impact. You will be the go-to person for expertise related to our HIL rigs, therefore a positive attitude and understanding of different perspectives combined with balancing stakeholders is important. This together with the willingness to lead and support your group members within HIL Operations is vital. Besides that, you are willing to take "hands-on" tasks and are good at planning your work accordingly. With your great experience combined with the ability to come up with new ideas, you will be able to bring this role to the necessary level.

This is a role for you with several years of experience in working with software testing and test environments where you have deep technical know-how in the field and can leadership experience capable of navigating the team in development of the test infrastructures. You have an interest in the latest trends, and you are curious to find out which new technical solutions can add value.

Furthermore, you would bring hands-on experience with Pythonand Embedded Software. You have experience working with CANoe and VECTOR tools. You would also carry experience wiht automotive electrical architecture as well as having an electrical engineering background. You should bring effective and proficient communication skills as well as leadership experience.
