Job Description

As a member of our Solution Consulting team focusing on Public Sector, you will have a major impact on our future success by supporting the sales cycle of the ServiceNow platform. You will advise customers on how to create outcomes with our solutions, drive demonstrations and interactions on how we meet the customers goals, and you will own the technology agenda with the customer. As part of the role you will work in close partnership with other sales functions and act as the solution lead across customers. The role is also focused on hands-on technical capabilities to go wide and deep on solution delivery and solution positioning during sales cycles. You need to have experience working with Public Sector as well as the ability to discuss with business decision makers, including C-level stakeholders, in different functions and a strong business acumen is required.

The Solution Consultant is a technical presales consultant with the advanced ability to develop, position and provide product-specific solutions during sales cycles while achieving quarterly and annual sales goals for an assigned territory.

• Actively support the sales cycle as a technical and domain expert of a client-facing sales team
• Lead high impact discovery workshops to understand customers' challenges
• Conduct demonstrations to align our solution with customer needs
• Be the trusted customer advisor on how our solution will support and accelerate the customers digital ambition
• Incubate and build AI Agents that deliver customer value
• Respond to architectural and technical questions from customers, channel partners and ServiceNow colleagues
• Provide feedback to product management about product enhancements that can address customer needs and provide additional value
• Share and learn best practices and re-usable assets with other Solution Consultants to enhance the quality and efficiency of the team
• Stay current on competitive analysis and market differentiation
• Support marketing events including executive briefings, conferences, user groups, and trade shows

Qualifications

To be successful in this role you have:

• Experience in leveraging or critically thinking about how to integrate AI into work processes, decision-making, or problem-solving. This may include using AI-powered tools, automating workflows, analyzing AI-driven insights, or exploring AI's potential impact on the function or industry.
• 7+ years of pre-sales solution consulting or sales engineering experience
• Proficiency with the ServiceNow platform or technical expertise with cloud software solutions
• Experience working collaboratively with product management, product marketing, partners, and professional services
• Territory management skills, including pipeline building and working with Sales counterpart to guide execution excellence
• Travel, as necessary
