About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Center Technician to join our team at Infotree Global Solutions. As a key member of our data center operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our data center facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform hardware troubleshooting, cabling, and IT-related tasks to ensure the optimal performance of our data center infrastructure.
  • Prepare, stage, and set up data center hardware startups and shutdowns according to specific instructions and protocols.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues using standard procedures and quickly identify root causes to minimize customer and business disruption.
  • Perform post-execution quality checks to verify that grounding, staging, labeling, and cabling are set up properly.
  • Communicate and report incidents to management and escalate as necessary.
  • Participate in daily safety briefings and complete required safety training to ensure a safe working environment.
Requirements
  • Exceptional server hardware knowledge with a deep understanding of component system-type failures.
  • Ability to assist in conducting failure analysis on-field issues.
  • Ability to track server fleet health to investigate emerging failure trends and validate SLA compliance.
  • Proven history in RCA and/or failure analysis.
  • Solid experience with IPMI utilization in diagnostics and software tool administration.
  • Experience with Windows Server OS, WinPE OS administration, and Linux PXE services.
  • Basic Linux and Windows scripting experience.
  • Network troubleshooting of Layer-1, Layer-2, Layer-3.
  • Working knowledge of deployment technologies such as WDS, PXE, DHCP, FTP, and Virtual Machine setup and environment configurations.
  • Ability to work autonomously and within a local or geographically dispersed team environment.
Minimum Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience as a data center technician.
  • CompTIA A+ or equivalent experience.
  • CompTIA Server+ or equivalent experience.
  • CCENT or equivalent experience.
  • Windows OS experience.
  • CCNA certification preferred.
  • MCP/MSCE certification preferred.
  • Scripting experience preferred – PowerShell, Python, Bash.
  • The ability to lift up to 35 pounds when necessary.
  • The ability to safely climb ladders when necessary.
  • The ability to wear personal protective gear correctly when necessary.
  • The ability to stand and walk throughout the facility for extended periods without loss or reduction of productivity.
