The ideal candidate will excel in fast-paced environments, possess strong leadership skills, and have experience managing business control and accounting functions in complex settings.

  1. Lead a finance team through periods of change, ensuring effective business controlling and project execution.
  2. Oversee local accounting and financial reporting, adhering to Sulzer's accounting manuals and tax regulations.
  3. Manage the statutory accounting process, guaranteeing accuracy in financial statements, income statements, and profitability forecasting.
  4. Collaborate closely with the local management team, driving financial performance, cost management, and internal controls.
  5. Play a key role in the upcoming SAP implementation.
  6. Maintain and improve business and financial controls, ensuring a smooth transition to new processes and structures.

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  1. Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to guide a team through change.
  2. Proven experience in managing business control and accounting functions in complex environments.
  3. Able to work effectively in chaotic, evolving environments and bring structure to processes.
  4. Stress-resilience and the ability to handle challenges.
  5. Broad financial expertise with a focus on statutory accounting, tax, and business partnering.
  6. In-depth knowledge of financial operations, including CAPEX, OPEX, and EBITDA.
