Are you looking for a challenging role that drives business growth? Do you have a passion for sales and a desire to make a difference in people's lives?

As an Account Manager in our Advanced Surgery portfolio team, you'll be responsible for expanding Baxter's business in Sweden central (Stockholm, Uppsala) and Sweden north regions. This key role requires strong sales experience and a willingness to learn and grow into a more senior position on a long-term basis.

You'll collaborate with the wider sales team and commercial functions to influence marketing, pricing, and market access activities. Your ability to work in an operating theatre environment and develop long-term relationships with customers will be crucial to your success.

The ideal candidate will have a background as a nurse from an operating room or intensive care unit OR, an academic degree with experience working in a surgical environment, and sales experience in pharma/med. tech/life science, preferably surgery.

Additionally, you'll need to possess knowledge about value-based selling, genuine drive for sales, and a developing understanding of strategic account planning.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain relationships with customers, expanding existing accounts and building new relationships within your territory.
  • Develop strategic plans for products and related services in Sweden central and Västerbotten regions.
  • Achieve sales targets by implementing sales strategies to attain sales volume, customer growth, and customer satisfaction for the portfolio.
  • Implement targeted account plans, proposing solutions that improve opportunities for both customers and Baxter.
  • Actively drive development and implementation of targeted tender plans, including pre-tender strategies and tactics.
  • Demonstrate the product portfolio to clients.
  • Prepare sales presentations providing technical and administrative product information, demonstrations, and pricing quotes to prospects.
  • Monitor competitive activities and communicate intelligence to the marketing team.
  • Acquire and deploy therapeutic and application expertise to improve adoption and market penetration of new product launches.
Requirements
  • Strong sales experience and a willingness to learn and grow into a more senior position on a long-term basis.
  • Collaborative mindset and ability to work in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Knowledge about value-based selling and strategic account planning.
  • Ability to work in an operating theatre environment.
  • Business acuity and proactive approach.
  • Analytical skills to understand sales data.
  • Adaptable, solid communication, collaboration, and team building skills.
  • Basic understanding of the tender process and pre-tender work.
  • Digital skills (Zoom, Teams, digital platforms).
  • Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills.
  • Fluent in Swedish and English.
  • A driver's license is required.
  • Preferably SPIN and Challenger certifications.
