About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team at CorPower Ocean AB. As a key member of our mechanical design team, you will play a crucial role in the development and optimization of our innovative Wave Energy Converters and Collection Hub.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop 3D models and 2D drawings in Creo for packaging, mooring systems, cable management, and other components.
  • Perform structural engineering tasks, including the design of floating structures.
  • Conduct engineering calculations and simulations to ensure the reliability and performance of our systems.
  • Produce high-quality technical documentation to support our design and development processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate potential risks and failures.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, productivity, and quality.
  • Support procurement activities, including component and supplier selection, manufacturing, and factory acceptance testing.
  • Participate in the assembly and testing of systems in our machine hall.
  • Contribute to the development of new solutions to improve processes, performance, reliability, or manufacturability.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in mechanical design and development.
  • Strong technical knowledge and skills in areas such as pneumatics, hydraulics, structural optimization, pressure vessels, fabrication, sensors, routing, and electricity generation equipment.
  • Experience working with Creo, WindChill, MathCAD, and ANSYS Mechanical is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a small agile team.
  • Highly proficient in English.
