About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Mechanical and Piping Engineer to lead our team in the design and delivery of a major Green Steel production project in Northern Sweden.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the civil and structural design work for one of the areas in the Boden Project, ensuring coordination with engineering partners to achieve cost and time-efficient design solutions.
  • Ensure engineering assurance within the Mechanical and Piping discipline, working closely with EPCm and OEM partners to deliver high-quality work.
  • Represent the client for the Mechanical and Piping discipline, serving as the single point of contact for delivery and quality.
  • Manage client Mechanical and Piping engineering and design, providing leadership and guidance on developing engineering and design strategies.
  • Manage engineering work to ensure compliance with codes, standards, regulations, equipment specifications, and process equipment operating targets.
  • Advance quality achievement and performance improvement throughout the organization.
  • Develop or select engineering and design standards and procedures to ensure quality requirements are met and consistent.
Requirements
  • Substantial previous working experience in major industrial capital projects.
  • Highly developed knowledge of industrial scale piping and/or mechanical static/rotating installations.
  • Previous project experience within Scandinavian codes and standards.
  • Experience with PED.
  • Experience in project planning, execution, management, and communication with all stakeholders in large successful capital projects.
  • Extensive experience in working with EPCM Mechanical engineers.
  • Must be knowledgeable about industry best practices and change management.
  • Recent experience managing engineering and construction activities in large capital projects.
  • Experience managing engineering partners.
