Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the mechanical engineering team's output and deliverables, ensuring high performance, quality, and speed.
  • Grow the team's engineering capabilities in designing and developing mechanical systems, including foil systems, POD motors, and actuators.
  • Develop a long-term technical roadmap and strategy for Candela's mechanical development, including resource, financial, and partnership needs.
  • Collaborate with the Test & Verification team to ensure a solid test strategy and execution for complete mechanical systems.
  • Interface with internal stakeholders and suppliers on mechanical engineering matters.
  • Identify and communicate risks related to design, development, and implementation.
  • Coordinate team activities according to priorities and competences.
  • Manage competence development, appraisals, and salary reviews for the team.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Over 3 years of experience leading engineering teams.
  • Work experience in design or product development involving detailed mechanical design and manufacturing processes.
  • Experience creating and executing mechanical development and validation test plans, including regulatory requirements.
  • Proficiency in CAD, preferably Catia.
  • Experience with structural analysis tools.
  • Ability to stay focused in a high-paced work environment.
  • Perseverant and goal-oriented mindset.
