About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Strategy to join our team at Saab. As a key member of our Business Unit Naval Combat Systems, you will play a critical role in driving our strategic development and growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Strategic Plans: Drive the strategy process within Naval Combat Systems, including long-term business planning, strategic workforce planning, and plans for long-term capability growth.
  • Business Development and Portfolio Management: Support in managing our product portfolio, assessing areas to invest in and avoid, and supporting business development activities such as new business models, partnership discussions, mergers and acquisitions, and site strategies.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with all parts of the Business Unit Naval Combat Systems to establish and execute on the strategy for the BU, as well as with the BA Surveillance Strategy function, OpC, and foreign entities, and the corporate level.
Requirements
  • Leadership and Communication Skills: A communicative and inclusive leadership style to create commitment and energy within the organization.
  • Business Acumen and Experience: A broad profile with at least the following attributes: appropriate professional or postgraduate qualification in a business-oriented or technical discipline, experience in strategic, roadmap, and business development planning, strong business and customer understanding, understanding and ability to work in an international environment and matrix organization, skills to combine strategic thinking with operational actions, proven ability and interest in leading, developing, and challenging the organization, management teams, and employees, and excellent language abilities where English is a minimum and other languages are a merit.
